HAIR GRAB FROM BEHIND

  • Use a closed fist to hit them until they release their grip completelyair further. This should stop/minimize your spain.
  • Turn to face them so that their wrist is bent and their hand is pulled away from your head.
  • Use a closed hammerfist to hit them until they release their grip completely.

CHOKE AGAINST THE WALL - OPTION 1

  • Grab the thumb of the hand that is choking you, bend it backwards and away, peel it away from your neck, causing pain.
  • Keep hold of the attacker’s hand, pulling them towards you.
  • Use your other arm to strike - elbow to the face and extend your arm and hit (hammerfist) to the side of the head.
  • If you’re close enough, you can also kick/knee them in the groin.
  • Then push them away and escape.

CHOKE AGAINST THE WALL - OPTION 2

IF ATTACKER IS MUCH STRONGER/BIGGER


  • Pull down on the attacker's hand to distract them.


  • Use the opposite hand and punch/hit sensitive points in the bicep and/or the armpit. This will cause the attacker to release the grip.


  • Keep hold of the attacker’s hand, pulling them towards you.


  • Use your other arm to strike - elbow to the face and extend your arm and hit (hammerfist) to the side of the head. If you’re close enough, you can also kick/knee them in the groin.


  • Then push them away and escape.

CHOKE FROM THE SIDE

OPTION 1


  • Pull the attacker's hand away so you can breathe. (See Choked Against the Wall Option 1 video about bending the thumb away to cause pain.)
  • If you’re not strong enough, pull down on the attacker's hand to distract from the real defensive move.
  • Step sideways AWAY from the attacker, pulling them off balance and towards you. At the same time, elbow in the face.
  • Keep causing pain until the attacker releases.

OPTION 2


  • If you cannot step to the side, hit the attacker in the groin. You can also grab and twist the groin to cause pain.
  • Then elbow in the face. Keep causing pain until the attacker releases.

ONE ARM ESCAPE: OPTION 1

Use the heel of your palm to hit the center of their forearm out of the tips of their fingers. 

ONE ARM ESCAPE: OPTION 2

IF ATTACKER IS MUCH STRONGER/BIGGER


  • Aim for the weakest part where your attacker's fingers meet.

 

  • Use two hands for more strength.


  • Use your free hand to grab the hand that is being held.


  • Pull out forcefully.
